With clarinetist-leader Joe Midiri and his twin brother Paul on vibes, the Midiri Brothers' band sizzled at each session acknowledging the brilliant small groups of the swing era. Paul Midiri's lovely version of "Trees," Otto Rasbach's musical interpretation of the Joyce Kilmer poem, was among the items evoking broad smiles on both sides of the footlights.
